Family First, Restaurant Second

Salt & Pepper is a family business in the truest sense. Founded by Nataša and Goran Milić in 2013, it began as a small terrace restaurant with a big charcoal grill and even bigger ambition.

Today, with 250 seats and a team of over 30 people, Salt & Pepper has grown into one of Istria's most reviewed and best-rated restaurants — while keeping the same spirit it started with.

Many of our team members have been with us for years. Some joined for a single summer season and never left. Others grew from their first job in hospitality into experienced professionals who now help lead the next generation of staff.

What connects everyone here is simple: pride in the food we serve, respect for our guests, and the belief that great restaurants are built by people who genuinely care.

Co-owners since 2013

Husband and wife team Nataša and Goran Milić founded Salt & Pepper in 2013. Nataša leads the front of house with warmth and precision - she knows many returning guests by name. Goran oversees the kitchen, suppliers and the systems that keep quality consistent across several hundred covers a night.

Together, they have grown Salt & Pepper from a small terrace restaurant into one of Istria's most reviewed and best-rated dining destinations.

Danilo Brajković

Restaurant Manager

Danilo joined Salt & Pepper in 2022 and quickly grew into his current role. He coordinates daily operations, manages reservations, and makes sure every guest feels personally welcomed from the moment they arrive. Fluent in German and English with solid Italian — a genuine asset in a restaurant where 98% of guests are international visitors.

Head Chef

With Salt & Pepper since 2019, Miloš started as a line cook and worked his way up through every station in the kitchen. Today he leads the entire kitchen operation. Reliable, hardworking, and respected by everyone — he is the backbone of the kitchen and the person the whole team leans on. A true leader who earned his role through years of dedication and consistency.

Sous Chef

With us since 2020, Srđan is Miloš's right hand in the kitchen. He keeps things running smoothly — organising shifts, coordinating between stations, and handling the behind-the-scenes work that keeps service consistent night after night.

The quiet force behind the kitchen. Since 2021, Milan has been the one who covers every station, steps in wherever needed, and does the hard work that others don't always see. A true backbone of the team.

Season After Season

Our crew is a mix of long-time veterans and energetic newcomers. Many of our senior staff have been with us for more than five years - a rarity in seasonal hospitality. We invest in training, systems and a respectful work culture because we know that happy teams create better guest experiences.

Kitchen

The heart of Salt & Pepper. Grill masters, line cooks and prep chefs working in sync to deliver consistent quality during the busiest summer nights.

Service

The face of the restaurant. Hosts, waitstaff and bar team making sure every guest feels genuinely welcomed and looked after.

Management

The structure behind it all. Planning, training, logistics and quality control that keep everything running smoothly.
