Salt & Pepper opened its doors in Medulin more than a decade ago with a simple idea: serve bold, honest food in a place where guests feel welcome. That idea has not changed.
Since then, we have served hundreds of thousands of meals. Families who first discovered us on holiday in Istria now return with their own children. Many guests reserve the same week every year, while local regulars still sit at the same table on Sunday evenings.

We work with trusted suppliers we have partnered with for years. If it is not fresh, it does not make it onto the plate.
Fire Is Fundamental
Our Josper grills are not a decoration — they are the centre of our kitchen. Cooking over charcoal at over 350°C gives meat and fish a depth of flavour that cannot be replicated.
Seafood, Respected
Fresh fish deserves simple preparation: salt, olive oil, lemon and heat. Quality ingredients do not need complicated sauces.

Medulin is a small coastal town at the very southern tip of the Istrian peninsula - relaxed, family-friendly and surrounded by the Adriatic. Just a short drive from Pula, it is a place where beach days stretch into long summer evenings.
Salt & Pepper sits right in the middle of it. Our spacious terrace welcomes families with children, couples on holiday, groups of friends and locals who have known us since the beginning.

MARÉE by Salt & Pepper
In 2025, we opened MARÉE - a small street-food spot near the marina and campsite in Medulin, just a short walk from the beach. Smash burgers, tacos and rolls - with homemade iced tea or a cold beer on the side. Served fast, with the same quality standards as Salt & Pepper.
MARÉE is for the days when you want something quick but refuse to compromise on taste. Perfect after the beach, between swims, or before a sunset walk along the marina. Stop by, grab a seat, order takeaway or delivery, and let the smell of the grill do the rest.
